I just discovered that True Blood season two is already out and that geez, after watching three episodes of it the English in my head sounds so messed up. I don't want this Louisiana accent/dialect whatever to highjack my perfectly normal Finnish English! But I love the series, it's the closest to an actual (good) WoD-based series you can get these days. I have seen Kindred (I still have some to watch) but it's been rather painful. I mean the Nosferatu isn't even ugly but he's still like ohmigod if people saw me like this they'd go crazy! And where are all the Malkavians, and what's the deal with walking in daylight? Huh? And it's not like I need the clan system etc. to enjoy a series, I need consistency and surpises and suspense! And the series just doesn't have... anything. The Prince is a loser gigolo but he's treated like he's the king of the world. AGHH!!
True Blood has a lot of shortcomings too, but I think that the second season has mellowed the most tragic stuff out and left in some of the interesting, either that or watching Jason have sex really grew on me during the first season and now I'm just hip with not having Jason-sex but some other sex instead. And Jessica is a nice character.

We had the most splendid and inspiring and intense rpg session today. Shit. I - Stephan lost his... lost Beor. Beor was - is - a caretaker, the first reasonable contact with vampires Stephan ever had. But because Stephan messed things up, or maybe there wasn't anything that could be done and things got messed up by themselves (I could've sold my soul, maybe that would've done the trick), Beor got something wrong inside his head. It was a slow process... And after trying to trash Stephan today for cutting down a fairy tree, he decided it would be better to go. It really fucking breaks my heart. And Stephan's. He never cried when his father died. And he just found out for the umphteenth time that the higher-ups are always shit. ALWAYS. Join the mafia, they said, do some work that has meaning, they said! I'd gladly tell more but I think it would go to waste, not many people besides me are interested in detailed descriptions of rpg's. I just wanted to write something.
